ESPN journalist Ariel Helwani recently announced that a Featherweight title fight between UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega has been booked for UFC 260. The event is currently scheduled to take place on March 27.
Brian Ortega recently returned from a long layoff to earn a dominant victory over former title challenger Chang Sung Jung. The American is 15-1 in his MMA career, with his lone loss coming to former Featherweight Champion Max Holloway.
Alexander Volkanovski is currently riding a 19-fight winning streak with wins over former champions Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes. More recently he defeated the aforementioned Max Holloway in two closely contested title fights.
