BREAKING: Brian Kelleher vs Domingo Pilarte set for UFC event on August 21

Sources confirmed to Fighterpath MMA that a bantamweight bout between Brian Kelleher and Domingo Pilarte is in the works for UFC Fight Night 195 on August 21. Both gentlemen will be looking to get back into the win column after going winless in their previous bouts. The source wished to remain anonymous as an official announcement of the bout has yet to be made by the promotion.

Brian Kelleher (22-12 MMA, 6-5 UFC) has been one of the busiest fighters since the UFC launched back up last year. This will be his fifth UFC bout in that time frame, and will look to earn his seventh UFC victory. In his last outing, he lost a decision to Ricky Simon. He holds wins over Ode Osbourne, Hunter Azure and former UFC champion Renan Barao.

Domingo Pilarte (8-2 1NC MMA, 0-1 1NC UFC) will be making his first appearance to the octagon in 2021. He suffered mixed results so far in his UFC career going winless in his first two bouts. His second bout was vs Journey Newson was overturned due to a positive test result on behalf of his opponent. Pilarte owns wins over UFC Bantamweights Adrian Yanez and Vince Morales.

The event is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 21. The bouts already on tap are listed below:

  • Light Heavyweight: William Knight vs Fabio Cherant
  • Lightweight: Vinc Pichel vs Austin Hubbard
  • Heavyweight: Chase Sherman vs Parker Porter
