Calvin Kattar was one of the front-runners for fighter of the year after winning twice against Jeremy Stephens and Dan Ige. The Stephens fight was a nominee for Fighter Path Knockout of the Year in 2020. Since his loss to Zabit Magomedsharipov, he has been the best fighter at 145 without a doubt. With a victory, Kattar could find himself as the Number One contender for the Featherweight strap.
Standing opposite him on Saturday is former UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway. Considered by many to be the greatest 145lb fighter of all-time, the Hawaiian will look to rebound from back-to-back controversial losses. A win here for Max will earn his a shot at the man who gave him those two losses, Alexander Volkanovski.
On this episode, Sergio Pineiro and Joe Gravel discuss this weekend’s main event and who we believe will emerge victorious.
