Mike Trizano def. L’udovit Klein via Unanimous Decision
Mike Trizano – Chas Skelly
Mike Trizano entered as a heavy underdog against L’udovit Klein and emerged with his hand raised. Despite the controversial decision, Trizano had the Slovakian on the back foot the entire fight. A win over Klein puts Trizano will surely earn the American a big step up in opposition. Chas Skelly has yet to compete in 2021 and will surely want to get back in there as soon as possible. If their timelines match up, this would be a great addition to a Fight Night card.
L’udovit Klein – Damon Jackson
Klein’s team will feel they were robbed of a sure win after this performance. Despite having four takedowns, judges felt he didn’t do enough to secure the victory. The Slovakian is now 1-1 in the promotion and is still one of the brightest prospects in the division. Damon Jackson is also looking for opponent after his opponent was forced out of his scheduled bout on May 1.
Jun Yong Park def. Tafon Nchukwi via Majority Decision
Jun Yong Park – Brendan Allen
Jun Yong Park managed to fight through several low blows and eye pokes to secure his third UFC victory in a row. The Korean is likely sitting on the doorstep of the Top 15 and will likely be calling for an opponent in the rankings. I would like to see him face an opponent in a very similar position as Park. Brendan Allen just earned a submission victory over Karl Roberson on April 24. If both men are injury-free, book the fight for the late summer.
Tafon Nchukwi – Roman Kopylov
After earning four consecutive knockout victories, Nchukwi has now gone to decision in back-to-back fights. The Cameroonian is only 6 fights into his pro career and should be matched up as such. Roman Kopylov hasn’t been able to secure a fight in 2021 and is coming off a loss and is also in need of a win.
Carlston Harris def. Christian Aguilera via Technical Submission (Anaconda Choke)
Carlston Harris – Abubakar Nurmagomedov
One of the feel-good stories from Dana White’s Looking for a Fight, Harris entered as the only Guyanese fighter to ever fight for the promotion. He was able to pick up his first victory in the promotion after a first round submission over Aguilera. Abubakar Nurmagomedov recently earned his first UFC victory over Jared Gooden and is in need of an opponent.
Christian Aguilera – Ramiz Brahimaj
Christian Aguilera had some moments throughout the first round and seemed to hurt the Guyanese fighter early in the first. Unfortunately, Aguilera ultimately came up short to Harris via submission. Christian Aguilera is 14-8 and has back-to-back losses in the promotion. Ramiz Brahimaj has his back against the wall as well, and a fight between the two could decide who sticks around.
