Heavyweights:

#7 Ciryl Gane

Age: 30 | France | 7-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC

If you’re a heavyweight MMA fighter in Europe, MMA Factory has to be at the top of your list of destinations to train. MMA Factory has now produced two of the most powerful human beings to ever step foot inside the Octagon in Francis N’Gannou and Ciryl Gane. Outside of both being produced from the same team, the rise of the two has been remarkably similar. Francis was 5-1 when he signed with the promotion and finished every opponent he faced before earning a title shot. Gane was 3-0 and has finished every opponent he has faced. Prior to signing with the UFC, the Frenchman fought for Canadian-based promotion TKO. He won their Heavyweight belt in his MMA debut and defended it twice more. His combat sports journey began earlier than that when he began training Muay Thai. In two years he dominated the French scene going 7-0. Gane began MMA only two and a half years ago and is already inside the UFC’s Top 10. Gane is expected to face Jairzinho Rozenstruik on March 13 and will look to continue on his success from 2020 when he finished Junior dos Santos with an elbow.

Notable Victories: Junior dos Santos, Tanner Boser, Don’Tale Mayes, Raphael Pessoa

Alexander Romanov

Age: 30 | Moldova | 13-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC

Romanov is the fresh face the UFC Heavyweight division needed. For many years now the 265lb weight class has been extremely shallow, having a new undefeated prospect makes things exciting. Romanov is 13-0 and has yet to go to the judges’ scorecards. He has submitted eight of those opponents, two of which came in the UFC. With back-to-back wins to open up his UFC career, there is a good chance we see Romanov fighting a ranked opponent in his next bout. He is one of only three Moldovans in the UFC and will hopefully inspire more people from back home to do the same. His style is very aggressive which leaves him open to a lot of shots, but when he gets a hold of you his high-level Sambo will be on full display.

Notable Victories: Marcos Rogerio de Lima, Roque Martinez

Giacomo Lemos

Age: 31 | Brazil | 6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC

Giacomo Lemos has yet to make his debut and it is unknown when his return will be. The 31-year-old was late getting into the sport and at 31-years-old he is only 4 years into his pro MMA career. He began his journey on the Brazil regional scene picking up four wins via T(KO). Unlike most Brazilians on the regional scene, he chose to accept fights abroad in South Korean promotion Angel’s Fighting Championship. He was given long-time South Korean regional circuit veteran Sang Soo Lee in his debut for the organization’s open weight title. He proceeded to finish that fight via doctor stoppage, and went on to defend it two months later. Lemos was brought into the UFC to face Tanner Boser in Edmonton in July of 2019 but was pulled after failing a drug test. Lemos was given a two-year suspension from USADA and will be eligible to return in July of 2021.

Notable Victories: Sang Soo Lee
